Temple TV

When we went to have breakfast (next to the tank) I spotted a white bodied, black legged, orange footed bird! Then on crowded train to Kottayam. In our room we had TV and I watched a Siva Temple. Funny that because we went to the Siva Temple just before in Ettanemur, a noisy bus ride away. We also watched Tom and Jerry, Tennis and Sponge-Bob-Square-Pants.

Animal City

I’ve seen a lizard, a sea eagle, fish, dolphins, a banana skin with 2 bananas in it and a yin-yang shaped cloud.

Animals Ahoy!

At the seafront we saw a white bodied, black legged, olive green footed bird. We went to an Elephant festival with at least 50 Elephants. There were priests on top of the Elephants. While they were resting they ate banana leaves, which is also what lots of people eat their food off because they are too poor to afford plates.

Dance To The Music

Today we went to a dance called Kathakali. Later on we were in a restaurant and out of nowhere came the biggest cockroach you’ve ever seen, it must have been 1 foot long. Enough of the amazements, here comes the frightening!

Strange Delights

We had another coconut but this coconut had more meat and less milk. I wanted a Mango Delight because my Dad said I could have an ice cream. But they’d run out of Mango Delight and all of the other ice cream except Butterscotch which was excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Humming At The Breakfast Table

We went to a restaurant to have breakfast, when suddenly out of the horizon was 100 and more Hummingbirds! Hummingbirds stand for joy, which is the same meaning as my name. A very skilled lady skinned a coconut with a knife – Warning: don’t try this at home!

Jet-Lag

Jet-Lag is when you are out of your time (body clock) because we’re 5 ½ hours ahead of England, meaning it is harder to go to sleep than usual. Jet-Lag is also when your head feels heavy because again the times different e.g. say its 8:00am in India your body thinks it’s 2:30 am (in the middle of the night).

I’m off on an Indian/Sri Lankan Adventure

Today I am flying off to Columbo in Sri Lanka, to start a 7 week trip with my Dad, Geoff. We flew from Heathrow Airport. Mum & Mark took me to the airport to meet up with Dad. The flight took 11 hours, phew!
